Now Officially More Than Just Friends

After months of rumors, Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston were married Saturday at a ceremony on an ocean bluff.

About 200 guests attended the lavish sunset ceremony at an estate owned by television executive Marcy Carsey.

Guests seen going into the Malibu estate included actress Cameron Diaz and Aniston's Friends co-stars, including Matthew Perry.

Friends co-star Courtney Cox Arquette and her husband David Arquette arrive for the ceremony.

Aniston wore a floor-length white satin silk gown designed by Lawrence Steele, according to a press statement. Her ivory-colored, suede high-heel sandals were designed by shoemaker Manolo Blahnik for Steele. The bridesmaids wore pale green silk chiffon slip dresses with pale tafetta mules.

Pitt wore a black tuxedo designed by Hedi Slimane. His attendants wore black tuxedos designed by Prada.

Security was tight, reports CBS News Correspondent Steve Futterman, with the couple even paying for Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department coverage.

"Our main function is traffic control, crowd control and enforcement of the permits that have been drawn for this event" deputy Bruce Thomas told Futterman.

Heart-shaped fireworks celebrated the nuptials.

Helicopters buzzed overhead for days before the event as a large white tent mushroomed at the location to ensure privacy. But airspace was restricted over the site during the actual ceremony for Pitt, 36, and Aniston, 31.

The event cost $1 million, according to widespread media reports, including $100,000 for security, $75,000 for flowers and $20,000 for fireworks. A publicist did not immediately confirm those reports.

Entertainment reporters and paparazzi who had been staking out the site for days were kept away by tight security. Futterman reports fans showed up, too.

"You have the two biggest stars getting married today, and we happen to live in the area, so why not be a part of that fun and that romanticism?" said one.

"I just like the aura," said another. "It's fun seeing everybody, and everyone's excited for them."

Part of Pacific Coast Highway was shut down to accommodate the guess and workers.

It was the first marriage for both Aniston and Pitt, whose movie credits include Interview with the Vampire: The Vampire Chronicles, Legends of the Fall, 12 Monkeys and Fight Club.

Gennell Vigil, watching from the highway, said she thinks it's a good match. "Every picture I've ever seen them in, they always look so much in love, so I hope it lasts for them."

Rumors the couple were engaged and planning a wedding have been swirling in Hollywood for months. Though the couple had never confirmed their engagement, their publicist on Thursday confirmed plans for the wedding.

Fan Amy Ariano had some advice for the couple: "I think that if they pay attention to each other and they work things and try to not act like a Hollywood married couple, they'll have all the luck on their side."
