Nintendo Wii Motion Feedback To Improve With New Remote Accessory

Nintendo is releasing a new accessory for the Wii gaming console that will enhance game play with more realistic motion feedback, the company announced at the E3 Media & Business Summit today. (Release). The Wii MotionPlus, which will come out in the spring, provides quicker and more accurate motion responses in a three-dimensional space, Nintendo said. Wii Sports Resort, the first game to make use of the accessory, will include sword play, power cruising on a water scooter and "Disc Dog." A game set for release in November, Animal Crossing: City Folk, will include a new feature that enables players to chat with each other and visit their virtual communities using WiiSpeak, a new microphone from Nintendo that will allow players to talk person-to-person or room-to-room. Before the holidays, the company is also releasing Wii Music, a game that transforms the Wii remote and nunchuk controllers into instruments such as drums, electric guitar and a violin. Nintendo is making a big push for its WiiConnect24 service, a community-based platform that enables voice chat and sharing with other players. Finally, the Grand Theft Auto and Guitar Hero franchises will see new titles for the Nintendo DS this winter and fall, respectively.
