NBC Local Media Acquires Production Firm Skycastle

NBC Local Media, which recently bought online video firm LX.tv, has now made another acquisition: it has now bought the marketing and promotional assets of Skycastle Studios, and the new unit will "focus on developing and producing customized 360-degree marketing and promotional solutions for the group's advertising partners," reports B&C.
Skycastle was founded in 1993 by former NBC employees Joseph Candido and David Warshawsky, who will continue to lead the division. It will remain headquartered at KNBC Los Angeles and will open offices at other NBC O&Os. The company has been heavily focused on creating digital media entertainment recently, and some examples of its broadband video work is on its homepage, including its work around the Winter Olympics.
