"Mutatoes" explores the world of ugly vegetables
(CBS) -Uli Westphal has a thing for unusual vegetables. The Berlin-based photographer has been collecting "non-standard" fruits, roots and vegetables since 2006 as part of his project, "Mutatoes." Why? Because just like humans, veggies come in all shapes and sizes.
As Australian tech show "Hungry Beast" reports,
[Westphal] hopes his beautiful images of snaking-cucumbers, tentacled-lemons and five-headed eggplants will archive 'the last survivors of biological variety' and make people think about the origins of their food.
