Mothers Pit Tween-Age Daughters in Fight, Cited by Cops; What Were They Thinking?

(CBS)

UNIONTOWN, Pa. (CBS/AP) Last month, a Florida mom was charged with child abuse for cheering on her teenage daughter during a brawl that was caught on tape. Now, the phenomenon has turned up in Pennsylvania, where two mothers have both been cited for arranging a fight between their daughters.

Apparently, they did battle, too.

State Trooper Christopher Newman told the Herald-Standard that 30-year-old Crystal Lynn Hall, of Uniontown, and 31-year-old Audrey Schreckengost, of Adah, have been cited for disorderly conduct.

Police said the fight happened Sunday night in a Georges Township home where Hall invited Schreckengost. Police said the women wanted their daughters, ages 11 and 12, to fight and that Schreckengost also brought a 14-year-old girl with her.

Police said the girls started fighting first, and then their mothers went after each other.

The next round may be fought in court.
