Morocco Bus Flips, Killing 29

A packed bus flipped over Monday morning on a road in central Morocco, killing 29 people and injuring 27 others, the official Moroccan news agency said.

The MAP news agency said the accident occurred about 10 miles from Tahanouat, on the route to Asni, just southeast of Marrakech.

Details of the accident were not immediately available.

King Mohammed VI instructed authorities to take the wounded to two military hospitals, in Marrakech and in Rabat, the capital of this North African nation, MAP said.
