Moon Says He's Been Released
Warren Moon said Thursday he has been released by the Seattle Seahawks because of salary cap limitations.
The 41-year-old quarterback said he might return if something can be worked out on a new contract.
"Im going to go out and look and see what my other options are," Moon told KIRO-TV.
Moon, who played most of his NFL career with the Houston Oilers and also was with the Minnesota Vikings, began last season as Seattle's starter. He lost his job in midseason to Jon Kitna, who is expected to be the starter next year under Mike Holmgren, who left Green Bay to become the Seahawks' coach and general manager.
