Minn. man responding to Craigslist ad is robbed, left naked

AP / CBS

(CBS/WCCO) MINNEAPOLIS, Mn. - Authorities said a Minneapolis man answering a Craigslist ad for a 50-inch television ended up being robbed at gunpoint and was left naked at the scene.

CBS station WCCO reports that on October 29th, a 36-year-old man responded to an online ad to purchase a TV and was told to go to a home in the 3700 block of Logan Ave. North to pick it up. A male between 17 and 19 answered the door and pointed a gun at him.

The victim said the gunman didn't want to kill him, but that he was told to give him everything he had, even the clothes he was wearing.

The young man shed his clothes, cell phone, and wallet, and then a second teenage suspect pushed him to the couch before both thieves ran off.

The victim was not injured, and called his girlfriend to bring him clothes before calling police.

Authorities scanned the house, saying it appeared to be vacant, but filled with trash and old furniture. The man's clothes and possessions, including $420, a $100 cell phone, and $100 leather jacket were not recovered.
