Matt LeBlanc Plays Matt LeBlanc
Look out "Entourage," there's a new TV show out based on real-life tales of Hollywood and celebrity. Best known for his long-running role of Joey on "Friends," actor Matt LeBlanc is back with a new series on Showtime, "Episodes," depicting the often-chaootic world of show-business.
"It was fun being self-deprecating and to poke fun at Hollywood. If it's funny, it's worth it," LeBlanc said in a recent interview.
He portrays an unintentionally comedic version of himself, as an actor with an inflated ego who signs up for a new TV series based on a hit British sitcom, much to the chagrin of the original show's producers (played by Stephen Mangan and Tamsin Greig).
"Like it's not my story," LeBlanc admitted, "You know I'm just a catalyst for the problems and hurdles that they have to overcome."
And LeBlanc is staying quiet over which characters are based on some of Hollywood's real-life counterparts.
"Some of the characters in there [On the series] are inflated versions of people I know. That's all I'll say about that."
The debut episode of "Episodes" airs this Sunday on Showtime.
