Map Your Life with "My Maps"

One of the coolest things about the new features that Google recently released is something called "My Maps." It lets you create your own maps—including landmarks, routes, etc.— and share them with whomever you want. Just sign up for a Gmail account (which should have anyway) and go to Google Maps.

From there, you can create personalized maps of pretty much anything. I'm planning to use mine to keep track of my travels; to let folks new to town know about cool places to eat and hang out; and to tell people the best routes to get to the East Bay from San Francsico without having to navigate the pile of twisted metal and concrete that used to be known as the MacArthur Maze.
