Lohan Isn't Anonymous At AA Meetings
In an interview with Ryan Seacrest on Friday, Dina Lohan confirmed that her daughter has attended Alcoholics Anonymous meetings.
"That is true … it's a positive thing," Dina Lohan said of the meetings.
Dina told Seacrest that as a parent, you can't tell your child to stay home at night.
"(Lindsay) is 20 years old, I'm not going to tell her to stay home … that's ridiculous," she said.
She added that Lindsay is learning on her own but seeks her advice everyday.
Some people thought that Lohan's statement in response to Robert Altman's death was incoherent, but she was actually quoting from AA's 12 steps to recovery. When she wrote: "Make a searching and fearless moral inventory of yourselves' (12st book)," Lohan is referring to the 4th step of recovery. The "12st book" refers to AA's Big Book, which is a manual for following the 12 steps.
Even though she was accompanied by her mother to the GQ Men of the Year dinner on Wednesday night, Lohan caused a ruckus at the swanky affair, the New York Post reported Friday.
A source tells the newspaper that the starlet "flipped out" when she spied actress Jessica Biel at the event with her ex-assistant, who quit several months ago and apparently left the "Bobby" star furious.
A witness told the Post that Lohan started yelling: "If she stays, I'm outta here! I can't look at that girl! I can't believe you would allow an assistant in here — she doesn't belong in here!"
"It was really uncalled for," the source told the newspaper. "Jessica and everyone else ignored her."
Lohan was reportedly shunned at the posh affair — attended by Leonardo DiCaprio, Ben Affleck and Jay-Z — by stars who are tired of the 20-year-old actresses' antics.
Will Ferrell, who overheard Lohan, turned to DiCaprio, Al Gore and Affleck and said, "Who cares about that freak anymore, anyway?" — setting off laughter, the newspaper said.Photos: Lindsay Lohan
The newspaper reports that Lohan, who attended "several" Alcoholics Anonymous meetings this past week, drank champagne and tried flirting with DiCaprio, but to no avail.
Even more drama ensued when "Jackass" star Johnny Knoxville arrived later and he and Lohan began nuzzling and necking — until her ex-boyfriend, Harry Morton, appeared, the Post said.
"Harry had been called by Lindsay, and he arrived with a bunch of her friends, and then they all left together, including Johnny. It was weird," a source told the newspaper. "(Her mom) Dina did a lousy job of reining in her daughter, and it looked like she just used Lindsay to get into the party in the first place."
A rep for Lohan told the Post, "This does not sound like Lindsay."
A friend of Biel's said the actress was in no way involved in Lohan's outburst.
"Jess didn't steal anyone's assistant — her assistant stopped working for Lindsay a long time ago. And whatever drama happened, Jess was no part of it. She is not part of (Lohan's) crowd — she is a professional," the pal told the newspaper.
A rep for Biel declined comment to the Post on their story.
