Lindros Suspended Two Games
All-Star center Eric Lindros of the Philadelphia Flyers was suspended for two games by the NHL Sunday for high-sticking and cutting Petr Nedved of the New York Rangers .
Lindros sat out the Flyers' game Sunday at Detroit and will miss Tuesday's home game against Carolina . He can return Thursday at Nashville .
Nedved had three facial cuts after being hit by Lindros' stick during Philadelphia's 3-1 victory Saturday. Lindros was given a double-minor penalty.
"Mr. Lindros used his stick in a careless manner and an injury to Mr. Nedved resulted," Colin Campbell, NHL senior vice president and director of hockey operations, said.
The suspension will cost Lindros $86,458.33 in salary
Lindros leads the Flyers with 40 goals and 53 assists. His 93 points are second behind Pittsburgh 's Jaromir Jagr in the NHL.
