Ten-month-old Onya-Birri, the only albino koala in captivity, with his mother, Banjeeri, at the San Diego Zoo. Zookeepers didn't know the mother koala had given birth to an albino bear until he emerged from her pouch in March. Baby koalas usually spend their first six months in the mother's pouch. Researchers believe the bear's parents carried a recessive gene for albinism.
