Lazy Skiers, Take Note

I'm determined to get to the slopes this winter, although I've long since decided that I like my knee ligaments more than I like skiing. Last week I wrote about snow-biking, in which you bomb down a hill on the relative comfort of a bike seat with handlebars and skis mounted where the tires should be. It seems to be considerably less taxing on the old muscles and joints than skiing or snowboarding, but this week I've found something even better: The Sno Limo.
Yes, you read me right. Those of us who are either too fat, lazy or old (or all three) to get down hills under our own power can now turn to sleds equipped with a nice, broad chair, blankets, and a friendly "chauffeur" who rides on the back of the thing and steers it down the mountain. Check out the Sno Limo website, and then grab Granny and a camera and hit the slopes. They say it's a great way to allow family members of every age the chance to participate in a day on the mountain.
Or, better yet, the heck with Granny. Grab a nice flask of something warming, go to the top of Whistler mountain with your chauffeur, tell him to take the long route down, and start the party. Whoopee! This skiing stuff can be positively intoxicating.
