The aspiring rapper confirmed the name to E! News' Ryan Seacrest today while promoting the release of his album, "Playing With Fire." The interview will air on the entertainment channel at 7 p.m.
Spears and Federline's second son was born Sept. 12. At the time, several reports came out that the baby's name was Sutton Pierce. Last week it was reported that a birth certificate had been filed for the baby under the name Jayden James.
In an interview with USA Today, Federline said that he and his wife didn't leak the name "Sutton Pierce" as a sort of red herring baby announcement. But they do think all the fuss over the name is funny.
"We sit back and laugh about it," he told the newspaper. "It just goes to show how many people write about our lives and don't know anything about it."
Federline will be performing live in front of an estimated 500,000 people at the West Hollywood Halloween Festival this evening.
He'll attend his record release party later in the evening, and will travel Wednesday to New York to begin his promotional tour.
