Scottish actress Kelly Macdonald's career began when she played a seductress named Diane in "Trainspotting," the 1996 film about the Edinburgh drug scene also that also starred Ewan McGregor.

More recently she gained attention for her role as Della Smith in the BBC film "State of Play" in 2003, her role as Peter Pan in 2004's "Finding Neverland," and for playing a reporter in "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" in 2005.

In 2005, she starred in the TV movie "The Girl in the Café" as a mysterious woman who falls in love with a shy civil servant at the G-8 summit. That role earned Macdonald her first Emmy nomination.
