John Haymes Newton

John Haymes Newton played the title role on the first season of "Superboy" which appeared in the fall of 1988. The half-hour, live-action TV series focused on Clark Kent/Superboy's college years at Shuster University in Siegelville, Fla. He was replaced in the second season by Gerard Christopher.

Newton continues to act on TV and in films; he has appeared in three episodes of the ABC hit series "Desperate Housewives."
