Jazz Sign Pete Chilcutt
The Utah Jazz signed forward Pete Chilcutt to a one-year contract Sunday.
Salary terms weren't disclosed, but he was expected to earn the league minimum for an 8-year veteran, $760,000.
Chilcutt averaged 3.6 points, 2.5 rebounds and 15 minutes per game in 46 games for the Vancouver Grizzlies last season.
In his eight-year career, Chilcutt has played in 528 games, averaging 4.5 points and 3.4 rebounds.
Chilcutt played for the 1994-95 Houston Rockets NBA championship team, starting 15 of 20 games during the 1995 playoffs and averaging 4.5 points and 2.9 rebounds.
Chilcutt was a first-round selection and the 27th overall pick by the Sacramento Kings in 1991.
