Will the iPhone 5 sport the same screen size as its predecessor? Apple

(CBS) - Contrary to rumors, Apple's iPhone 5 won't feature a larger screen, says a report.

The website DigiTimes says the upcoming iteration of the iPhone will, like its predecessors, feature a display that is under 4 inches - either sticking with the current size of 3.5 inches or growing slightly to 3.7 inches.

The site says its information comes from "upstream panel suppliers."

Instead, the site claims that the iPhone 5 will feature a thinner bezel, which will make the screen appear larger.

Rumors about the iPhone 5 have been swirling for months, some claiming that the device will be a major upgrade and others saying it will feature only minor improvements.

Even the launch date for the iPhone 5 is subject to speculation. After reports that it would be available in September, new rumors put the release date some time in October
