Industry Moves: Ad-Exec Shuffle At Cond Nast

This story was written by David Kaplan.

As another wave of layoffs and cutbacks hangs over Cond Nast, one top ad exec has decided to move to a less glamorous perch within the company, while two others posts have been eliminated completely. Richard Beckman, who has served as president of the Conde Nast Media Group, is moving over to the publisher's Fairchild Fashion Group as president and chief executive. As Crains NY notes, that division is primarily composed of trade pubs, like Women's Wear Daily and Footwear News, which are towards the bottom of the company's food chain.

Meanwhile, paidContent has been told that a few more posts have been cut at Brides.com, which sources attribute to consolidation following the creation of Cond Nast Digital. We hear that John Vaccaro is out as senior director for product development along with Pam Quandt as senior executive director, marketing and creative services. Back in November, Susan Rerat's post as VP at Brides.com was also eliminated.
