In Austin For 9th International Symposium on Online Journalism In Austin

I'm in Austin for the 9th International Symposium on Online Journalism at the University of Texas Friday and Saturday, where I'll be on a panel about emerging business models. (Poetic justice given our recent immersion in our own emerging model.)
Alums of our conferences may be amused to know that I have to give a 10-minute presentation, and yes, I'll be using PowerPoint. The description: Emerging Business Models: Traditional media are struggling to adapt their old business models to respond to the devastating effects of disruptive, digital technologies, while a new generation of media companies is creating fresh, innovative new models. Will those efforts result in profitable businesses that would finance journalism as it happened during the last century? I'll be focusing on the media outlets that didn't exist in the last century.
