Import Google Docs Files to OpenOffice, Export OpenOffice Files to Google Docs

As David informed you last week, DocSyncer makes it possible (and quite simple) to synchronize your Microsoft Office documents with Google Docs. Ah, but what if you're an OpenOffice.org (OOo) user? You need OpenOffice.org2GoogleDocs, an OpenOffice extension that lets you import documents from Google Docs and export documents to it.

Once installed, the extension adds a new OpenOffice toolbar with "import" and "export" buttons. This works on a one-file-at-a-time basis, so you can't pull down all your Google Docs docs in one fell swoop, nor can you upload all your OpenOffice files. Still, it can definitely come in handy if you want to access OOo data online or edit Google Docs data on your PC. OpenOffice.org2GoogleDocs is available free of charge; it requires Java to be installed on your PC. [via Download Squad]
