Immigration Tracker Releases Software to Aid Employee Verification

With the new requirement that any company being awarded a defense contract worth over $100,000 verify that no illegal aliens are working on the contract as discussed here, Immigration Tracker has released software called Tracker I-9. This software will be able to take the data from Form I-9 and interact with the existing E-Verify system set up by Homeland Security. See MarketWatch.com for the press release.
Previously some states had required use of E-Verify which had been purely voluntary for Federal contracts. Now with the expansion of the requirement to use it to most defense contracts awarded starting on 1 January 2009; there is a market for systems to make the process easier. The Tracker I-9 software will hopefully expedite and limit errors in the process as a delay in meeting this requirement may delay execution of the contract.
