<i>Forbes</i> Ranks Top Web Sites

The next issue of Forbes magazine is devoted to the ranking of the top 250 Web sites.

And the editor of the issue, Matthew Schifrin, shares with CBS News This Morning his judgment criteria.



"The criteria we used to judge the Web sites were design, content, navigation, speed, customization, and bells and whistles," explains Schifrin. Bells and whistles merited bonus points.

There are at least 400 million Web pages. So Forbes looked at 1,000 different sites and selected 250 in 34 categories, ranging from collecting and banking to home buying, travel and sports, says Schifrin.

"We have tried to create a road map of the Internet because it's such a chaotic place," he says.

Punch in the flight that you're expecting and watch the plane as it moves across the country. Check the altitude and speed of the flight in progress.

Find out about scholarships and how much it will cost to send your child to college.

For art and antique lovers, this site provides links to many museum and gallery sites.

Create animations and even listen to your own music.

Find out when to sell your mutual funds.

Look at real estate properties and take 3-D tours.
