Identical Twins to Turn 100 in SoCal
A pair of identical twins will reach a remarkable milestone Sunday in San Fernando, California.
Inez Harries and Venice Shaw will celebrate their 100th birthday with family and friends this weekend, reports The Los Angeles Times.
The two look so remarkably similar, they have been confusing people for a century.
"Teachers told Mother to put different color hair ribbons on us so they could tell us apart," Harries told the Times.
"We'd switch them on the way to school," said her sister, Venice Shaw.
The secret to their longevity is simple, Shaw told the Times.
"We both eat good food," she explained.
The twins were born Jan. 15, 1911, in Pasadena to citrus ranch manager William Hesser and his wife, the Times Reports. They grew up all over Southern California.
Both say Carol Burnett is their favorite entertainer, "Jeopardy" and "Wheel of Fortune" are their favorite TV shows and the Bible is their favorite book, the Times reports.
