Ian Eagle

Eagle in his third as a play-by-play announcer for the CBS Sports's coverage of the NCAA Men's Basketball Championship. He serves as play-by-play announcer for CBS Sports's coverage of the NFL (1998-present) and called the 2000 AFC Championship game for CBS.

Eagle has served as the play-by-play announcer for the NBA's New Jersey Nets television broadcasts, since 1995 after having called play-by-play for radio broadcasts the previous year.

He was the play-by-play radio voice for the NFL's New York Jets in 1997 and also was a reporter for TNT's coverage of the NBA playoffs in 1996. He joined WFAN radio in New York in 1990 as a producer and debuted as host of his own show in 1992. He hosted Jets pre- and post-game shows on WFAN from 1993 to 1996 and also produced Mets Extra for the station.

A 1990 graduate of Syracuse University, Eagle was the play-by-play voice of the Orangemen for football, basketball and lacrosse, and was awarded the Bob Costas Award for Outstanding Sportscasting. He lives in Essex Fells, N.J., with his wife and two children.
