How to Improve Marketing E-mail Hit Rates

email-marketing.jpgNot having the best luck with your e-mail marketing campaigns? Marketing Pilgrim has a few suggestions, starting with this:

Personalize the subject line with the recipient's name. It turns out one of the most important factors when it comes to email is to personalize the subject line. That's because people look at the subject line quickly and decide if they'll read or delete your message.
The author also recommends that the subject line identify a very clear offer or benefit: "Save 25% today only," that kind of thing. What methods have you used to improve the hit rates for your marketing messages? Share your thoughts in the Comments.
