Hot Chelle Rae living up to name

They are one of the hottest acts in music right now - the Nashville-based quartet Hot Chelle Rae - and they are fresh off winning Favorite New Artist at the American Music Awards.

The group is out with a brand new CD, their sophomore album, "Whatever," from which they performed their new hit, "I Like It Like That," in the "Second Cup Cafe" on "The Early Show on Saturday Morning," along with their summer pop-rock anthem and No. 1 hit, "Tonight Tonight." Both are on "Whatever."

They just announced a 33-date headlining tour kicking off Feb. 10 in Metarie, La. and wrapping May 5 in Atlanta.

Holt Chelle Rae is made up of lead singer/guitarist Ryan Follese, lead guitarist Nash Overstreet, bassist Ian Keaggy and drummer Jamie Follese.

"Tonight Tonight" was declared "one of the catchiest pop-rock anthems of the summer" by USA Today, "Tonight Tonight" landed in the Top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in July, and hit No. 1 at Hot AC radio in September. It was certified double-platinum in the U.S.

The brand new single, "I Like It Like That," was co-written by band members Ryan Follese and Nash Overstreet and released in early October. It features hip-hop duo New Boyz and is climbing the charts at Top 40 radio and Hot AC. "I Like It Like That"'s documentary-style video grabbed over 1 million views in its first 3 days on VEVO.

The group's members have musical roots -- Brothers Ryan and Jamie Follese are sons of A-list Nashville songwriters Keith and Adrienne Follese; Nash Overstreet is the son of five-time BMI songwriter of the year Paul Overstreet; and Ian Keaggy's father is Phil Keaggy, a Grammy-nominated guitarist and multiple Dove Award recipient.
