Hillary Clinton: "Nobody will love Scranton more than I will"

SCRANTON, Pa. -- Joe Biden and Hillary Clinton took a short detour on the campaign trail to stop by a place the vice president has talked about throughout his political career, his childhood home in Scranton, Pennsylvania, where he lived until he was in the fourth grade.

Chatting with reporters, Clinton called Scranton an "amazing, incredible community."

Asked whether it's conceivable that people who live there would vote for her opponent, Donald Trump, Clinton said "people get to make up their own minds, but nobody will love Scranton more than I will as president."

She added that she would try to help Scranton in the same way Biden did when he represented them as senator -- "They called him, you know the, the third senator from Scranton," she said.

Biden recalled that it was his second campaign, and joked that people used to say, "'Who does he represent -- Delaware or Scranton?'"
