Hasek: NHL's Player Of The Week
Two-time Hart and Vezina trophy winner Dominik Hasek added another honor Monday as he claimed his fourth career NHL player of the week award, for the period ending Sunday.
Hasek, who last won the award Dec. 8, 1997, won all three of his appearances while recording his fourth shutout. He posted a 0.67 goals-against average and a .979 save percentage and extended Buffalo's winning streak to four games.

The 33-year-old Hasek started the week Wednesday with 27 saves in a 2-1 victory over the Florida Panthers and finished it Saturday by stopping 36 shots in a 3-1 win over the Nashville Predators. In between, Hasek recorded his 37th career shutout with 31 saves in a 3-0 triumph over Philadelphia.
Hasek has played in each of the Sabres' 22 games this season, posting a 13-4-4 record and a 1.78 GAA. He leads the league in wins and ranks second in save percentage (.941) and shutouts.
Also considered for the award were Chicago center Alexei Zhamnov, Vancouver right wing Markus Naslund and New York Rangers goaltender Mike Richter.
