Has Kournikova Met Her Match?
Tennis's Anna Kournikova reportedly has met her match: She and singer Enrique Iglesias have been together for more than two years.
Us magazine says they are now married, and that Kournikova confirmed it during a charity event on Sunday.
Kournikova, who hasn't played competitive tennis in over 18 months, married the pop singer in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, a few weeks ago, Us Weekly magazine reports.
"Everything is awesome. We are married," the magazine quotes Kournikova as saying at a charity tennis event in Florida on Sunday.
Ivy Mollenkamp, Kournikova's publicist, refused Tuesday to confirm or deny the Us Weekly story, saying, "We never comment on her personal life." Iglesias' representative, Stacy Boniello, also had no comment.
Court officials in charge of registering marriages in Puerto Vallarta and neighboring Nuevo Vallarta said they had no record of such a wedding.
The Iglesias could have had a religious wedding, which would not be legally recognized in Mexico.
Kournikova, 23, is no stranger to wedding drama. There have been numerous reports in the past few months that she and Iglesias, 29, were already married. And she was briefly married to Russian hockey player Sergei Fedorov in 2001, though at the time she denied it.
