Graffiti "artist" caught in sheriff's bathroom

Los Angeles County Sheriff's Dept. via CBS Los Angeles

(CBS) WHITTIER, Calif. - If graffiti is your medium, then here's the message of this story: Don't go tagging the men's room at your local sheriff's headquarters.

Police say Jordan Lucas was an easy catch when they found him tagging a bathroom stall at the Sheriff's Academy in Whittier, Calif. last Wednesday, CBS Los Angeles reported.

A sheriff's lieutenant reportedly caught Lucas, 31, in the act (of making graffiti, that is). He was reportedly using a black marker on one of the stall's walls.

It so happens, the lieutenant was also using the facilities at the time (not for making graffiti).

For his part, a surprised Lucas said he thought he was in the restroom alone.

Wrong.

He faces one count of misdemeanor vandalism.
