Get Your Game On: 6 New Golf Gadgets to Try
By Jason Pepper
While pro golfers must rely on skill alone to shoot a low score, amateurs have the luxury of a little technological help when they need it. BNET has compiled a list of golf gadgets that you can use on the course that will both improve your game, and save you money. Correspondent Sumi Das shows you how they work.
If you want to have a better putting game, try the iPing Putter App & Cradle. The device tracks and evaluates your putting stroke and then shows you ways to improve.
Another clever gadget is the Prazza Golf Ball Finder. The balls are equipped with an RFID chip. If you lose your ball, the pocket-size detector will locate it for you. It works from a distance of up to 110 yards.
Golf has gotten its fair share of criticism for not being eco-friendly, mainly for the large amounts of water and land golf courses require, but we found a couple of small items you can purchase that might make your game a little greener. Most of today's golf balls are made with heavy metal pollutants that do not de-compose in the landfills but Dixon Earth Eco Friendly golf balls are 100 percent recyclable. Then there are biodegradable tees. Most tees are made of wood but the Eco-Golf Tees will break down faster during composting and last up to 25 times longer than wood tees.
Give these gadgets a go... they just might make your next outing more enjoyable.
