Get The Look: Eye Candy
Almost 30 years ago, Linda Mason caused a revolution in the fashion world, reinventing the role of makeup on the runway. In her new book, Eye Candy, she shows you how to recreate some of her most magical eye makeup designs.
Applying makeup can sometimes be confusing, especially when it comes to the eyes. For example, when and how do you use false eyelashes? How much shadow is too much? How do you apply liner properly?
Eye Candy provides easy instruction for anyone to recreate dozens of Mason's tendy eye makeup designs. With looks that range from Everyday to Flirtatious and from Funky and Punky to Glamorous, each lesson has a close up photo of a finished look, a list of what you will need, a diagram of what to put where, and a palette of shadow colors that you can hold up to your own makeup or up to any cosmetics aisle to match the right shade.
As Mason puts it, "A new lipstick color can make you feel good, but it is really eye makeup that transforms the face. You may have great lips and skin, but everything you do, whether your realize it or not, is directed towards enhancing the eyes".
A lot of trendy looks are based on current and classic celebrities. Here's how to get some of Mason's favorite glamorous looks.
