Get a Free 5GB SugarSync Account

It's been a while since we wrote about SugarSync, the awesome cloud-based data-syncing and -storage service. Why? Because similar players like Dropbox were offering the same basic awesomeness with at least a few gigabytes of free storage.

Having finally learned that you gotta hook 'em before you can reel 'em in, SugarSync is now offering free 5GB accounts to all new and current customers. And if that's not enough to entice you, I defy you not to groove along with this kooky-catchy promo vid:

Things that are cool, indeed! (Damn, gonna be singing that all day.) Granted, on paper SugarSync may not be that much different than, say, Dropbox or ZumoDrive, but those guys give you a piddly 2GB of free storage. SugarSync just threw down the gauntlet with 5GB!
By the way, in case you're not familiar with it, SugarSync syncs selected files and folders with the Web, your other PCs, and/or your smartphone (apps are available for Android, BlackBerry, iOS, and WinMo, but you can access your account from any mobile browser).

In other words, it makes your stuff available pretty much anywhere you go on pretty much any device. And with 5GB of sweet, sweet free storage to play with, you can put SugarSync to work without so much as glancing at the company Amex.
