Get 10GB of Free Online Storage with Cloud Experience

This is a great time to be using the Internet for document storage -- we're awash in cloud service options, from Dropbox to SkyDrive to SugarSync and a dozen others. But there's a new kid on the block that's definitely worth your attention: It appears to have taken the best bits of all the existing services, and mixed them together for a truly impressive offering.

Cloud Experience, or CX for short, is an online file storage and sharing service that offers a massive 10GB of space for free.

The storage space is several times what you'll get with our long-time favorite Dropbox, and you don't need to do anything special like posting to Twitter or inviting friends to get it. It's not quite up to SkyDrive's 25GB allotment, but soon you will be able to purchase subscriptions for additional space (30GB for $10/month or even 100GB for $40/month) if you need room.

Storage space isn't CX's only selling point, either. The website has an elegant design. The dashboard shows you recent activity on your account and what devices you have connected. Tabs for files and sharing make it easy to organize and access documents you've stored there as well as make files available to everyone or just specific individuals.

Of course, manipulating files via a Web interface is never especially pleasant -- that's our primary complaint with SkyDrive -- but CX has a desktop app that integrates the service into Windows, so you can drag and drop files easily. There are also mobile apps for connecting to your account from an iPhone, iPad, Blackberry, and Android.

The service is also designed from the ground up to keep files in sync across multiple PCs and to back up files in specified locations, so you can do that in addition to simple online file storage.

I've been using Cloud Experience for about a week, and it's quickly becoming my new favorite. The service is still in beta, but it's stable and reliable.
