Free Calling and Texting to Japan for AT&T Customers

A bit of relief for people who need to make contact with friends, families, and co-workers in Japan: In response to last week's tragedy, AT&T has announced that wireless customers can make free calls from the United States and Puerto Rico to Japan. Text messages to Japan from US wireless numbers are free as well.

Landline customers may also get credit for up to 60 minutes of direct dial calls to Japan.
