Foxploitation Shows Too Crass
Fox Television wants to change its image.
The network is vowing to scrap exploitative reality-based shows like When Good Pets Go Bad' or Who Wants to Marry a Multimillionaire?
It's a program genre that has become a big part of Fox's prime-time lineup.
According to The New York Times, Sandy Grushow - chairman of Fox Television Entertainment Group - wants to avoid the kind of material that resulted in the fiasco over the multimillionaire show.
Grushow canceled a rerun of the highly rated special after reports arose that the bridegroom had been accused of abusing a past girlfriend.
In the end, the couple returned home separately from a ``honeymoon'' that they spent mostly apart, and they're seeking to annul the marriage.
