While the low seeds in this year's Final Four are getting most of the attention, the teams' humble tourney rankings are just a few of the notable statistics. Here's a look at some the numbers behind the improbable foursome heading to Houston:

1 & 2 - Not a single No. 1 or No. 2 seed is in the Final Four for the first time in NCAA tournament history

3 - Number of different programs Kentucky coach John Calipari has led to the Final Four (Rick Pitino is the only other coach to do so)

7-1 - VCU's current odds in Vegas to win the NCAA championship - the Rams began the season at 2,500-1

7 - Number of games VCU will have to win to claim the title instead of the usual six; the Rams were one of the last at-large teams to make the newfangled 68-team field

8 - Only one No. 8 seed has made the finals (Villanova, who won the title in 1985) - Butler is a No. 8 seed this year

9 - Number of consecutive tournament games UConn has won in just a 19-day stretch on their way the Final Four

10 - Number of consecutive games Kentucky has won on the road to Houston

11 - Seed of VCU, only the third such seed to advance to the Final 4 (George Mason in 2006 and LSU in 1986 both lost in the semifinals)

14 - Number of Final Fours the Kentucky Wildcats have made in school history

26 - The four teams' combined seeding equals 26, breaking the record of 22 in 2000.

33 - Age of VCU coach Shaka Smart

34 - Age of Butler coach Brad Stevens, who becomes the youngest coach to go to two Final Fours

39 - Number of years UConn's Jim Calhoun has been coaching

542 - Number of career assists VCU coach Shaka Smart had when he played at Kenyon College - an all-time record for the school
