Fast Driver, Slow Learner: Ohio Woman Ticketed Three Times for Speeding...in One Hour
SHEFFIELD VILLAGE, Ohio (CBS/AP) Once, twice, three times a speeder...
Police say a northeast Ohio woman was stopped for speeding three times in just over an hour.
Sheffield Village police Chief Larry Bliss says that 38-year-old Amy Bobkovich of Lorain was first stopped Saturday, Jan. 15 at about 11:40 p.m., going 55 mph in a 35 mph zone.
Ten minutes later she was stopped by another officer for going 55 on the same road (strike two).
And, the chief says that precisely 53 minutes after that, a third officer clocked Bobkovich at 51 mph in a different 35 mph zone (strike three).
Officers say the woman was polite and cooperative, and that she said she just wasn't paying attention.
Chief Bliss says Bobkovich hadn't had a traffic violation in six or seven years.
Apparently she's making up for lost time.
