Explosives Amnesty Week in five S.C. counties

It's Explosives Amnesty Week in five South Carolina County; residents may turn in dynamite, weapons, and ammunition, no questions asked WSPA

(CBS/AP) GREENVILLE, S.C. - If you live in one of the following five counties in South Carolina - Abbeville, Anderson, Greenville, Oconee and Pickens - then now is your chance to turn in your explosives, no questions asked.

Officials in those locations have declared this week Explosives Amnesty Week.

Residents can call their sheriff's office to have any explosives, ammunition, weapons, bomb materials or military ordnance removed from their property. Certified bomb technicians will remove and destroy the hazardous materials.

Callers don't have to give their names, and no criminal charges will be filed against participants in Explosives Amnesty Week.
