Ex-Tiger Tyrann Mathieu to enroll at LSU, father says
(CBS/AP) Tyrann Mathieu's adoptive father says the former LSU star plans to enroll in classes at LSU, even though he cannot play football there this season.
Tyrone Mathieu tells WVUE-TV in New Orleans that his son plans to enroll at the Baton Rouge campus Tuesday, the deadline for the fall semester.
The football star known as the Honey Badger has been working out personal problems with former NBA coach and player John Lucas in Houston. Lucas battled drug and alcohol problems during his career and now counsels others.

LSU's Tyrann Mathieu kicked off team for violating rules
The 2011 Heisman Trophy finalist was kicked off the team at LSU Aug. 10 for failing drug tests.
LSU has declined to speculate about whether Mathieu could play for the Tigers in 2013.
Mathieu also will be eligible for the 2013 NFL draft.
CBSSports.com's Rob Rang wrote last month that Mathieu's decision to enter rehab would be seen as a "mature" decision by NFL executives. "I think it is the smart move," one told Rang.
