Drag and Drop Your Documents to Google Docs

google-docs-uploader.jpgLooking for an easy way to upload desktop documents to Google Docs? Check out the Documents List Uploader, a sort of proof-of-concept applet from a member of the Google coding team. With it you can drag and drop files directly to your Google Docs account. There's also an option to add Windows menu support, meaning you can right-click the icon for any document and choose Send to Google Docs. Presto: It's uploaded.

According to the developer, the Uploader was designed to "demonstrate the functionality of the Documents List API," which means it's not an official release, but rather a glimpse at Google Docs features to come. But it works! The applet requires Windows and Microsoft's .NET Framework 2.0.

Want something a little more robust? Try DocSyncer, which is still in beta but offers actual synchronization between Google Docs and desktop folders. [via Google Operating System]
