Digital Picture Software From Canon

You don't have to have an expensive digital camera. A scanner will do and there are some pretty good ones on the market for a hundred dollars or so. Or you can have your film developed onto disc or CD. Now one of the best known names in photography, Canon, is creating some great software too. Canon Software Publishing's Kevin Reilly....says the flagship is Canon Photo Gold...

"Obviously, Canon has a lot of experience in photography and based on that we're able to do considerable research into what users were looking for. And basically Canon Photo Gold takes your photo and then does all the typical things. It takes it off of your scanner or digital camera or hard drive, catalogs it, allows you to do a lot of very simple editing and more advanced editing. But I think some of the real power is you can actually bring your pictures to life with rotation and animation. You can turn images into 360 degree panoramic movies."
All of that for about 45 dollars. And it's great for beginners...

"Canon Photo Gold is really geared at the novice user. But it has some features that even the more advanced user would appreciate."
Users get free space for storing pictures online as well. You can find more information at software.canon.com
