Dial H For (Alleged) Harassment

A federal judge has granted class-action status to a sexual harassment suit against Dial soap.

Women who've worked at a company plant in Aurora, Illinois allege that they were subjected to groping and sexually suggestive remarks and behavior.

Class-action status means that the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission can use one trial to pursue damages for all 90 members of the class.

Dial says the government has a weak case. A spokesman says the company didn't break the law and will continue to fight the lawsuit.
