Cool beer can robot

(CBS) - "Can you see my robot?" asks Japanese hobbyist Ron Tajima. (We like that he threw R2D2 into the mix to confuse us.)

Then low and behold, a robot that is disguised as a beer can!

Tajima calls his invention the CanBot. He makes it move using a Wii remote control. (Genius!) It transforms, it walks, it wiggles, it turns back into a can, it rolls... It's just plain cool.

"CanBot has three legs, each with two servos, and can shimmy around on a tabletop or roll on its side," reports CNET. "The prototype runs on an mbed microcontroller and four AA batteries."

But no, it doesn't actually hold beer or any liquid for that matter. In fact, the CanBot's shell isn't a beer can at all. It's a 500-ml can of Kirin Tanrei, a low-malt beverage known as "happoshu" in Japan.
