"I think that people think they've been made a fool of," Beth Murphy of Westchester County, N.Y., told CBS 'This Morning' Co-Anchor Thalia Assuras. "Especially those who voted for him. I voted for him twice, and I'm disappointed that the character issue really was an issue when I didn't think it was."

Murphy and other Westchester mothers also expressed disappointment in Hillary Rodham Clinton.

"I think that she is an incredibly bright, educated, powerful woman in her own right, and she doesn't have to stand with a man to gain power," said Nancy Dressler. Murphy agreed that Mrs. Clinton's decision to stand by her husband "is not the kind of role model I would want for my daughter."

These mothers also were concerned about the what they called the "endless rehashing" of sexual detail and its effect on their children.

" I think that everybody's at the point now where they're really not interested in reading any of the details," said Cindy Cioffari. It's embarrassing for the family, but more so, I think it's embarrassing to us to have the rest of the world be able to read the details of Clinton's affair."

However, the Westchester women agreed that if the details were being printed or aired on television, Americans would be eager to read or see them. Dressler said it does affect children "and they are asking a lot of questions."

While they are angry and annoyed, the mothers still do not believe Mr. Clinton should be impeached or removed from office. They do, however, favor censure.

"Censureship and move on; he'll be out of office in a few years," said Jane Margolis. Dressler added, "Let him serve out his term and go on and elect somebody else."
