Chart Your Mouse Movements for Productivity Analysis or Just Because it's Beautiful
How many miles does you mouse pointer log every day? You might be surprised. Likewise, if you could strap a marker to the bottom of your mouse and record the spyrograph-like art you're invisibly making every hour of every day, you'd be equally amazed.
And, would you believe, there's some productivity to be gained by analyzing your mousing patterns?
IOGraphica is the home of a singularly unique program: IOGraph records all of your mouse movements for as long as you like, and turns it into a stunning graphical depiction of where you've been on your computer screen. Pauses -- where the mouse stops moving -- are depicted as dots. The longer you stop, the larger the dots.
The results are gorgeous, like a work of modern art. You can save the image as a JPG and print it or do what I did -- turn it into a cool-looking desktop background image.
Because IOGraph shows you everywhere your mouse has been, you can even analyze the images to see how effectively you use multiple windows or if a dual monitor configuration might help. But, well, I'm really grasping for straws here. This is just a nifty app that will bring a big dose of joy into your Friday. Enjoy!
