The former "Two and a Half Men" star tweeted "Your book rocks!!" to Richards and followed it up with this message: "Never thought I'd say it... but loved it D..! xo c"
Sheen and Richards, a 40-year-old movie actress and reality TV star, were married from 2002 to 2006 and have two daughters, Sam and Lola, together.
In TV interviews, Richards, a former Bond girl, admits she writes about Sheen but not in a negative manner. "The man I fell in love with is very compassionate, humble, has a wonderful heart," she said, "and the behavior that a lot of us saw in the last six months is not the person I met and fell in love with."
Richards, who recently adopted a baby daughter, also addresses her relationship with Richie Sambora and her mother's illness in the book.
