The video was shown to jurors Friday on the ninth day of Anthony's trial. The jailhouse videos show Anthony talking to her mother and father, crying and talking about her daughter. She called Caylee the point to their family's star and said the 2-year-old had the best traits from her and from Casey's parents and brother.
Anthony had tears in her eyes at times while watching the video from July 2008.
After the videos were played, the state called Detective Charity Beasley of the domestic violence unit of the Orange County Sheriff's Office, reports CBS affiliate WKMG.
Beasley was called to the Anthony family home on July 16, 2008, to collect evidence. She said she collected Anthony's car, laptop, and various other items, including a toothbrush and one of Caylee's dolls, reports the station.
Beasley said before having Anthony's white Pontiac Sunfire towed, she sealed the doors and trunk with evidence tape. When asked during cross-examination, Beasley said she did not recall if she smelled an odor coming from the trunk of the car.
Anthony's father and a tow yard manager have both testified that they smelled the distinct smell of human decomposition coming from the trunk of the car on July 15.
Anthony, 25, is charged with killing her daughter in the summer of 2008. Anthony has pleaded not guilty. If found guilty, she could face the death penalty.
The prosecution said it expects to reach the halfway point of its case
Saturday.
